Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EventHub, including our website and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, submitting or joining an event, or otherwise using EventHub, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operators of EventHub. They take effect on the date shown above, or on the date you first accept them if later. Your use of EventHub is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

If you use EventHub on behalf of an organization, student club, association, university group, company, or other body, you confirm that you have authority to bind that body to these Terms. If you do not have that authority, you must not submit events or other content in its name.

1. The Service

EventHub is a platform for discovering, creating, and joining events. Organizers may submit events for review. EventHub may approve, reject, or remove content to keep the Service reliable and appropriate.

EventHub is an independent hosting and discovery platform. EventHub is not the organizer, sponsor, promoter, representative, agent, partner, employer, joint-venture partner, or participant of third-party events unless EventHub expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific event.

EventHub is an independent platform and does not represent, affiliate with, endorse, or act on behalf of any organizer, association, university, institution, or other third party unless expressly stated otherwise.

Publication, indexing, display, recommendation, or sharing of an event listing does not mean that EventHub has approved, certified, accredited, licensed, verified, or endorsed the organizer, the listed organization, the event, or any related activity. Hosting, displaying, or promoting a listing does not transfer organizer responsibility to EventHub.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

The Service is intended for users who have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. In Algeria, that is generally persons aged 18 or over. If you are under the age of legal capacity, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, is inactive, or presents a risk to other users or the Service. We may also suspend or close an account to comply with law, a court order, or a lawful request from a competent authority, or to protect EventHub, users, or the public.

You may stop using EventHub at any time. Account-deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should continue after your account ends will survive, including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, organizer responsibility, indemnification, reports, governing law, and general provisions.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• misrepresent your identity or your relationship to an event or organization;
• post unlawful, harmful, misleading, or infringing content;
• interfere with the Service, other users, or our systems;
• scrape, abuse, or attempt unauthorized access to EventHub;
• use the Service to spam, harass, or collect personal data without a lawful basis;
• use EventHub to facilitate unlawful activities, evade law enforcement, incite or organize violence, commit fraud, or harass others;
• use EventHub to conceal the true purpose of an event, to publish a listing that is a pretext for another activity, or to mislead EventHub, attendees, universities, venues, or authorities;
• impersonate a university, association, public body, brand, or other person;
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service except as allowed by mandatory law.

EventHub does not knowingly permit unlawful activities on the Service. We do not authorize, encourage, or assist any person to break the law.

4. Events and user content

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and compliance of their events, activities, organizations, recruitment activities, and submitted content. Organizers are responsible for ensuring that they have all registrations, permits, authorizations, approvals, and permissions required for their events and activities.

That responsibility includes, without limitation: the safety and conduct of the event; venue, campus, and local permissions; university or institutional rules where they apply; the authority to represent any listed organization, association, or student group; speakers, guests, contractors, and attendees the organizer invites; transportation and on-site arrangements; cancellations and refunds they offer; and all materials they submit or link to.

By submitting an event, an organizer confirms that they are authorized to publish and promote the event and that the event information accurately represents the activity being offered. EventHub does not independently verify every statement, organization, activity, authorization, or legal status presented in an event listing.

EventHub is a platform for discovering and promoting events and does not endorse, sponsor, organize, or participate in events listed by third-party organizers unless expressly stated otherwise. EventHub does not guarantee attendance, outcomes, or the conduct of organizers, participants, speakers, guests, or other persons involved in an event.

Submitting an event does not guarantee publication. EventHub may review, reject, suspend, restrict, edit, unpublish, or remove any event, content, or account that it reasonably believes may violate applicable law, these Terms, the rights or safety of others, or the integrity of the Service.

EventHub may also act on credible reports, complaints, legal notices, or safety concerns, and may remove or restrict a listing where the actual purpose or conduct of an event materially differs from the published description.

You retain rights in content you submit. You grant EventHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt for technical display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and promote the Service. This license lasts for as long as the content remains on the Service and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, security, and legal records. You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license and that your content does not infringe the rights of others.

If you believe content on EventHub infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, send a notice to hello@eventhub.app with a description of the work, the URL or listing concerned, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act. EventHub may remove or restrict the content and, where appropriate, notify the user who posted it.

5. Organizer legal compliance

Organizers must ensure that their events and activities comply with all applicable laws, regulations, university rules, and other requirements applicable to them. Organizers must not use EventHub to promote or facilitate unlawful activities.

Where an organizer is, or claims to act for, an association, they are responsible for complying with the legal regime that applies to that association, including Law No. 12-06 of 12 January 2012 on associations where that law applies. Where an organizer is, or claims to act for, a university student organization, club, or similar campus group, they are responsible for complying with the university’s rules and any required campus permissions. EventHub does not decide an organization’s legal status and does not become that organization by listing its event.

Organizers agree to provide reasonable information or documentation when EventHub requests it to verify their identity, authority to represent an organization, or the legitimacy of an event. EventHub may request identity information, proof of authorization, registration or recognition documents, venue confirmations, or other supporting materials. Failure to provide them within a reasonable time may result in rejection, suspension, or removal of the listing or account.

If an organizer becomes aware that an event may be unlawful, unauthorized, misleading, or materially different from its published description, the organizer must promptly notify EventHub and, where appropriate, request that the listing be updated or removed.

Organizer certification

By submitting, publishing, or asking EventHub to display an event, you certify that, to the best of your knowledge and belief:

• you are who you say you are, and you have authority to list the event and to represent any organization named in the listing;
• the title, description, date, time, place, online link, and other details are accurate and not misleading;
• the activity described is the activity that will actually take place;
• you have, or will timely obtain, all registrations, permits, approvals, authorizations, university permissions, and venue permissions required for the event;
• the event and the way you promote it comply with applicable law and with any university, campus, or venue rules that apply to you;
• you will not use the listing as cover for a different or unlawful purpose; and
• you will update or withdraw the listing if any of the above ceases to be true.

Information known at publication and later independent conduct

EventHub can act only on information that is reasonably available to it. A listing that appears legitimate at the time it is submitted or published does not mean EventHub knows about, authorizes, or accepts responsibility for what an organizer, speaker, guest, or attendee later does independently, including activity that was not disclosed to EventHub.

If an organizer later engages in unlawful, unauthorized, or harmful conduct that was not described in the listing and was not otherwise known to EventHub, EventHub's earlier hosting or display of the listing does not by itself constitute authorization, endorsement, participation, or knowledge of that later conduct. EventHub may take appropriate action when it becomes aware of such conduct, including removing the listing, suspending the account, preserving relevant information, and cooperating with competent authorities where required by law.

This does not limit EventHub’s right to remove content, suspend accounts, or cooperate with competent authorities when we become aware of a problem.

University, association, and institutional names

An event may mention a university, faculty, student organization, association, or other institution. That mention is supplied by the organizer. Publication on EventHub does not mean the institution has approved the event, that EventHub has verified the organizer’s membership or mandate, or that EventHub is affiliated with that institution.

6. Availability

We aim to keep EventHub available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, listings, and access may change as we improve the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, EventHub disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Event listings are provided by organizers and may change.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EventHub does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, attendance, safety, legality, quality, or outcome of any event, or the conduct, identity, authority, or statements of any organizer, speaker, guest, venue, or attendee. You attend or rely on events at your own risk, subject to mandatory protections that cannot be excluded.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EventHub and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EventHub and its operators will not be liable for claims arising from organizer conduct, attendee conduct, speakers, guests, venues, transportation, cancellation, delay, injury, property damage, fraud, or misleading organizer statements, including conduct that occurs after a listing is published and that was not disclosed to EventHub.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory applicable law, including, where such rules apply, liability for fraud, intentional fault, or other liability that the law does not allow the parties to waive. These Terms do not make EventHub immune from legal process or from liability that the law requires to remain.

9. Organizer responsibility and claims

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, organizers are responsible for claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from their events, activities, or submitted content, including claims resulting from unlawful, unauthorized, misleading, or unsafe activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EventHub and its operators from claims, losses, damages, and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your content or listings; your event or related activities; your breach of these Terms; your violation of law or of third-party rights; or your later conduct that was not disclosed to EventHub. This obligation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not require you to indemnify EventHub for EventHub’s own fraud or intentional misconduct where the law forbids that.

10. Reports and content removal

Users may report events or content that they believe violate these Terms, applicable law, or the rights or safety of others. EventHub may review reported content and may remove, restrict, or suspend content or accounts when appropriate.

To report a listing or account, email hello@eventhub.app with the subject “Report”, the URL or event title, and a short description of the concern. We may ask for more information. We will review reports in good faith, but we do not promise a particular outcome or response time, except where applicable law requires one.

EventHub may also cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities where required by applicable law.

Where we receive a lawful request from a competent Algerian authority or court, or where we reasonably believe we must act to prevent serious harm or a clear violation of law, we may preserve, restrict, or disclose information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of EventHub after an update means you accept the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.

If a change is material, we will try to give reasonable notice through the Service or by email when we have an address for you. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, without prejudice to any mandatory rights or protections that may apply to you under applicable law. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you are a consumer and mandatory rules give you the right to bring a claim in another competent court, those rules continue to apply.

Legal notices to EventHub should be sent to the same address unless we publish another notice address. Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account or shown in the Service.

14. Third-party links and external services

Event listings may include links to external websites, registration forms, maps, payment pages, chat groups, or other services that EventHub does not control. Those destinations have their own terms and privacy practices. EventHub is not responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your information, except where mandatory law says otherwise.

If an organizer collects registrations or payments outside EventHub, that organizer is responsible for that process. EventHub does not currently process ticket payments on the Service. If that changes, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

15. Force majeure

EventHub is not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including network or hosting outages, power failures, government action, war, civil unrest, epidemic, fire, flood, or other natural events, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

16. General provisions

No agency. These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, or agency relationship between you and EventHub, or between EventHub and any organizer, university, or association.

Severability. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable part will be interpreted to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any event-specific rules EventHub expressly publishes, are the entire agreement between you and EventHub about the Service and replace prior terms on the same subject.

No waiver. If EventHub does not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without EventHub’s prior consent. EventHub may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law. These Terms bind permitted successors.

Language. These Terms are published in English. A French translation may be provided for convenience. Until EventHub designates another language version as official, the English text is the operative version if there is a conflict.

Order of documents. If these Terms and the Privacy Policy appear to conflict on a privacy topic, the Privacy Policy controls for that topic. For all other topics, these Terms control.
